The Royal Hotel History
The first Royal Hotel was built in October 1863, and very quickly became a popular venue. It lasted only two years before being destroyed in a storm, only to be rebuilt and opened in 1865.
In 1869 Cobb and Co began using the Royal Hotel as its Naseby depot for mail and passengers.
And the history of the Royal Hotel continues from there.

The Royal Hotel Today
The Royal Hotel remains a water place for visitors and locals alike, in 2018 the pub undertook extensive renovations inside to bring it back to life. Today it’s well worth a trip to Naseby, just to pop in for a coffee or something a bit cooler and to enjoy chatting with the locals, whilst running your eye over some of the very interesting photos that adorn the walls telling many stories from the past.
